Balak/Tarun Sanghas
In order to impart spiritual, cultural and ethical values to the children, so as to make them ideal members of society, the Math runs this program for children between 8-18 years of age. These boys gather on every Sunday between 08.30 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. in Math for the following activities:
- Vedic Chanting & Bhajans
- Yoga Classes
- Moral Education Classes & Video Shows
- Games
These are followed by distribution of snacks with the accompaniment of Gita Chanting. Images : Balak Sangha.
Yuvak Sanghas
If children are the future of society, youths are the present of society. In order to strengthen the character of youths and channel their energies, the Math runs the Yuvak Sangha. Members of this group meet every Sunday between 03.00 p.m. and 05.00 p.m. Following activities take place:
- Vedic Chanting
- Reading & Understanding of Swami Vivekananda's Life & Literature
- Srimad Bhagavad Gita Chanting & study
- Valmiki Ramayana
- Practical guidance in Service Activities
Both the above programs are monitored by Monks and assisted by volunteers.
Summer Camps and Seminars
Annual Summer Camps are regular features of the Math. These camps are organized during summer vacation of the schools in the month of May. These are aimed at all around development of the children. This gives a scope to the children for developing the moral & ethical sides of personality. This Program includes Vedic Chanting, Bhajans, Yoga Classes, Moral Lessons, and presentations on subjects like Astronomy, Geology, Computers, Aeronautics, Science, etc. Tiffin is served to all the participants. It is held between 08.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
A Seminar for High school students (both boys and girls of 8th, 9th and 10th std.) is organized by the Math
The seminar is aimed at elevating the mental strength of the students in order to enable them face
challenges in their academic pursuits. Eminent personalities exchange their views and experiences in
developing an integrated personality. Books related to the Integrated Personality Development are given to
participants of the seminar.
