Summer camps are conducted during summer vacation of children. The camp gives a scope to the children for developing the moral & ethical sides of personality. They are conducted every year in the month of May for 15 days.

This is for your kind information that, as part of our Educational Service Activities in the Rural Areas, for the Past 10 years our Ashrama provides Notebooks, Stationeries and other study materials to school children who are studying in the Government Primary and High Schools.

In the approaching Academic Year 2014-15, we are planning to serve about 15,000 students, studying in about 130 Selected Govt. Schools situated at (remote/backward) villages from Madhugiri, Chintamani, Kolar, Kanakapura and Pavagada Taluks.

No of beneficiaries: 15,000 students from about 130 Schools. The estimated expenditure for this service activity is about Rs. 26,50,000/- .

We are cordially inviting you to participate in this noble service by sponsoring this expenditure. Donations can be sent through Cheque/DD/MO in favour of “Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor” to the postal address mentioned at the end of the mail.

Ramakrishna Math, Halasuru, Bengaluru in collaboration with Samskrita Bharathi is organizing 10 days spoken Sanskrit course for general public.

            Venue: Vivekananda Charitable dispensary, C/O Ramakrishna Math, Halasuru.

            Timings:  6.30 pm to 8.30 pm

            Date:   13^th December 2013 to 22^nd December 2013

Highlights of the Course:

–  Course Structure perfected over many decades

–  Dispels initial apprehension as a difficult language

–  Right opportunity for beginners

–  Get into speaking this interesting language even if you know a bit.

–  Anybody who is above 10 years of age irrespective of Caste, Creed and Religion can attend.

–  Unique Interactive approach for teaching conversational Samskrit

–  In just 10 days you will be able to speak in Samskrit

–  Prior knowledge of spoken or written skills not necessary

– The course is free of any fees

This short course can also be used as a stepping stone for further explorations into the vast world of Samskrit. At the end of the course you will also come to know about other courses that you could take, at a place closer to your home, to continue to dwell deep into this wonderful language.

Dear Devotee/Friend,

As a part of our service activities we, Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor, Bangalore, are conducting Rural Educational Service Activities for the past 10 years.  By the Grace of the Lord, in this academic year also (2013-14), our Ashrama has distributed Notebooks, Dictionary, Stationeries and other study materials to rural school children who are studying in the Government Primary & High Schools.

Distribution started on 17^th June 2013 and ended on 12^th July 2013. About 30 Volunteers assisted us on various dates. Children were taught prayers, general hygiene and were introduced to teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

More than 16,392 students, studying in 203 Selected Govt. Schools, situated at (remote/backward) 177 villages from 6 Taluks (Pawgada, Malur, Madhugiri, Gauribidanoor, Hosakote, Kanakapura) in Karnataka State, India are benefited by this project.
