Dear Devotee/Friend,
As a part of our service activities we, Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor, Bangalore, are conducting Rural Educational Service Activities for the past 10 years. By the Grace of the Lord, in this academic year also (2013-14), our Ashrama has distributed Notebooks, Dictionary, Stationeries and other study materials to rural school children who are studying in the Government Primary & High Schools.
Distribution started on 17th June 2013 and ended on 12th July 2013. About 30 Volunteers assisted us on various dates. Children were taught prayers, general hygiene and were introduced to teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
More than 16,392 students, studying in 203 Selected Govt. Schools, situated at (remote/backward) 177 villages from 6 Taluks (Pawgada, Malur, Madhugiri, Gauribidanoor, Hosakote, Kanakapura) in Karnataka State, India are benefited by this project.
